Emotional Intelligence (PPG-EQ)Introduction to Developmental Psychology (PPG-DEVPSY)Introduction to Philosophy (PPG-PHIL)Addiction & Substance Use Disorder (PPG-ADD)
I am a lifelong educator, researcher, and philosophical thinker with a deep passion for understanding human behavior and inspiring others through teaching. I hold a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology, an M.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, a B.S. in Health Services Administration, and an A.S. in Medical Assisting. I am also a certified Medical Assistant in the state of Michigan, a Pee....r Recovery Coach, and a credentialed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Since 2018, I have been dedicated to teaching topics related to addiction and substance use disorders. My professional background includes nearly five years of clinical experience as a substance use disorder therapist, working with both adolescents and adults. I am deeply committed to addressing the ongoing addiction crisis through education, advocacy, and direct service.
My academic and intellectual interests span developmental and forensic psychology, as well as the philosophical exploration of identity and behavior—asking, fundamentally, why we are who we are and why we do what we do.
Known for my unorthodox and dynamic teaching style, I strive to make every lesson engaging and thought-provoking. My goal is to challenge perspectives, push boundaries of conventional thinking, and inspire critical reflection on the complexities of human behavior.
