As a teacher at an online and independent study school, I managed students' credits, classes, and grades. Moreover, I offered in-person and online help through Loom, Zoom, Google Classroom, and other instructional tools.
During my years as a Special Educator, I have developed Annual and Triennial IEPs and used assessment data to identify students’ areas of disability to shape behavioral, academic, and social services needed for my students. I collaborated with General Education teachers, Psychologists, students, families, and other IEP team members to create appropriate goals, accommodations, and modifications. As a teacher, I advocate for my students and value strong communication with the families to create plans that will promote students’ success. I also work closely with the College and Career Center to create strong transition plans for students that will place them on the path to achieving their potential in career and life.
My experience as an educator in both comprehensive and Independent Study online schools will make me a strong candidate to join a team and provide students with individualized learning experiences through a unique and dynamic program.
